成纖維細(xì)胞生長因子21（FGF-21）屬于大型FGF家族，至少有23個成員。然而，FGF-21與FGF-19和FGF-23一起屬于非典型FGF的亞家族，其中缺乏傳統(tǒng)的肝素結(jié)合基序。在β Klotho作為輔助因子存在的情況下，FGF-21通過FGFR1c和4受體發(fā)出信號，誘導(dǎo)脂肪細(xì)胞攝取葡萄糖。這種新型代謝調(diào)節(jié)劑作為一種內(nèi)分泌激素，主要在過氧化物酶體增殖-激活受體、PPAR α和 PPAR α誘導(dǎo)時在肝臟中產(chǎn)生。
Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF-21) belongs to the large FGF family which has at least 23 members. However, FGF-21, along with FGF-19 and FGF-23, belongs to a subfamily of atypical FGFs where it lacks a conventional heparin-binding motif. In the presence of β Klotho as a cofactor, FGF-21 signals via the FGFR1c and 4 receptors to induce glucose uptake by adipocytes. This novel metabolic regulator acts as an endocrine hormone and is predominantly produced in liver upon the induction of peroxisome proliferator-activator receptors, PPAR α and PPAR α.
